Evelyn Kennedy Mcmasters

Evelyn A. Kennedy McMasters, 84, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Parkview Nursing Home in Attica, IN. She was born to Ebert and Frances Lawrence on November 12, 1933 in Volinia Township, Michigan. She married Harry Raymond Kennedy, he precedes her in death. She later married Ivan P. McMasters. Both of her parents and Ivan precede her in death. Also preceding Evelyn in death are siblings; Paul Lawrence, Leta Guard, Nolan Lawrence, Gene Lawrence, Leroy Lawrence, and Robert Lawrence; and a son-in-law, Jeff Coffing. Survivors include two sons, Michael ( Marcella) Kennedy from Watseka and James (Dalee) Kennedy from Westville; one daughter, Susan (Jeff) Coffing from Covington; grandchildren, Joshua (Tess) Kennedy, Lindsay (Ryan) Pursley, Brad (Jessie) Coffing, Melissa (Mitch) Wirth, Bryant Coffing, Shellie Coffing, and Kiertsen Kennedy; and great grandchildren, Caden Wirth, Kennedy Wirth, Cambry Wirth, Molly Pursley, Grant Pursley, Ellie Coffing, and Ada Kennedy. Evelyn graduated Danville High School in 1952 and then attended DACC for LPN school. She worked at United Samaritans Medical Center as an LPN and retired after 21 years. Evelyn was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing canasta and various other card games. Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be missed dearly. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. in Danville. Officiating will be Reverend Michael Heidle. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Visitation will be held prior to services from 1 to 2 PM at the funeral home.
