Evelyn Kathleen Leverich

Evelyn Kathleen Leverich, 89, of Armstrong died on August 12, 2012 after a lengthy illness at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. Evelyn was born on November 10, 1922 in Russellville, IN, the daughter of Noble and Florence (Conner) Collins. She married Walter C. Leverich on July 10, 1942. They enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on March 17, 1992. She is survived by Sharon Tuggle (the late Thomas) of State Line, IN, Carol Gouty of Woodridge and Mary (Larry) Hurley of Armstrong, one son-Walter "Chuck" Leverich of Hoopeston. She was blessed with ten grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law, and four brothers. Evelyn enjoyed genealogy, coin collecting, and most of all spending time at her grandchildren's sporting events. She was a member of the Middlefork United Methodist Church and their women's group. She will be best remembered for her love of family and her ability to find the good in everyone. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandma and friend. She lived life to the fullest, counting her blessings every day. A private graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Partlow Cemetery in Armstrong, IL with Pastor Sally Swaim officiating.
