Evelyn J Nolen

Evelyn J. Nolen, 78, of Georgetown passed away at 12:15 am Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at Pleasant Meadows Senior Living in Chrisman. She was born on April 30, 1936 in Danville, the daughter of Ernest and Anna Guth Wahlfeldt. Evelyn married Harold S. Nolen on August 23, 1968 in Danville, which they parented six children together, David (Norma) Ray, Jeffrey (Christy) Nolen, Cindy (Wayne) Johnson, Susan (Russell) Wilson, Curtis Nolen and Donna (Brad) Truax. One brother, Richard Wahlfeldt and her sister, Ernestine Burris. Also 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Evelyn was a home maker and cleaned houses for several people in the area. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville and enjoyed her Church family. Evelyn enjoyed working crossword puzzles, camping, shopping and computer games. She loved to watch Family Feud. She loved the character Tweety Bird. A celebration of life funeral service for Evelyn will be at 1:00pm Saturday February 28, 2015 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown with Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 3:00pm to 7:00pm Friday February 27, 2015 at the funeral home. Place of rest will be in Lutheran cemetery in Danville.
