Eva Story

Eva M. Story, 90, of Covington, Indiana, passed this life to be with the Lord at 11:20 a.m. at The Waters of Covington, where she had resided for the past 8 years. She was born April 27, 1917, near Cayuga, Indiana, the daughter of the late Willis (Boss) and Fern (McBee) Dunavan. When she was 19 years old they moved to State Line, Indiana. That is where she lived when she graduated from high school. She then moved out of her home and lived with her sister, Iva. She married Perry G. Story on January 1, 1940. He preceded her in death on July 12, 1978. Also, her one and only son preceded her in death on October 6, 2003, in Covington; her three sisters, Iva, Mildred, and Opal, also preceded her, along with her brother, Ralph. One sister, Betty Lou Willer, also survived her, along with Hazel and Bob Linesay of Arizona. She, as said by Hazel, was more like a sister to her. She is also survived by two granddaughters, one grandson, and six great-grandchildren. Eva was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Covington. Evas own words were: The highest price that I could give, and all of my heart was heavy. The tears flowed down. I know you could say you could hear my soft, still voice saying, Dont cry for me. Just remember the love we all shared and the beautiful memories we have. I know I am in a better place. God and Jesus loved me. As per Evas wishes, a private family service was held on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, at Sunsets Covington Chapel, graveside services following at Springhill Cemetery. Pastor Paul Kent was the officiant. Condolences of money, flowers, or cards may be sent to The Waters of Covington, 1600 East Liberty Street, Covington, IN 47932. In lieu of flowers, food, etc., suggested memorials may be made to the Activity Department at The Waters Nursing Home, 1600 E. Liberty Street, Covington, Indiana 47932. E-mail condolences may be sent to www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
