Eva L. Chesnut

Danville- Eva L. Chesnut, 93, of Danville died at 1:28 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Hawthorne Inn in Danville. She was born on July 8, 1918 in Dahlgren, IL to Ottis and Bertha M. Hook Cross. She married Jean Chesnut on December 18, 1937 in Covington, IN. He survives. She leaves two children, Marion (Rita) Chesnut of Rossville and Pam (Chris) Nelson of Auburn, CA; two grandchildren Tara (Dave) McGraw and Brian Nelson; and two great grandchildren Brandon and Rachel. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, grandson Todd Chesnut and great-grandchild Lily McGraw. Eva was a member at the First Presbyterian Church in Rossville where she served as an Elder on the Session for 6 years. A service to celebrate the life of Eva Chesnut will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Scott Davis and Morris Chesnut will officiate. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to7 PM on Tuesday, July 26, also at Sunset in Danville.
