Danville - Eunice Lorraine Dieu, 90, passed away on December 21, 2015 at Hawthorne Inn in Danville, IL. She was the daughter of William Henry and Alma Margaret (Evans) Ripley and was born on March 1, 1925 in Danville. Eunice married Henry Harold Dieu in 1946 in Danville. Eunice is survived by her children Cherree Rison and Jeanine Jacks; step-children Joyce Dieu, Henrietta Delp, and Larry Dieu; grandchildren Lisa Lorraine Begora, Larry William Cox, and George Henry Jacks; great-grandchildren Chase Lahne, Megan Jacks, Lindsey Jacks, Evan Critcher, Colton Overly, Tyler Jacks, and Aaron Critcher. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and granddaughter Tammi Lynn Jacks Critcher. Eunice graduated from Wellington High School in Wellington, IL. She worked as receptionist at the social security office for 25 years. Eunice was an avid motorcycle rider in the 1960's and 1970's. In 1967 she rode her motorcycle to Florida with her dog in a sewing box on the back, and her photo was published in the Chicago Tribune. Eunice enjoyed writing poetry, dancing, and crossword puzzles. She never said a bad word about anyone and was well loved by all. Visitation will be held at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center on Wednesday December 23, 2015 from 5-7pm. Service will be held on Thursday December 24 at 10am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
