Eula A. 'La' Boggess

Eula A 'La' (Felgenhauer) Boggess, 79, of Georgetown, Illinois, took the Lord's hand to be with Him at 8:30am Friday, July 16, 2010 at Carle Clinic Hospital in Urbana. She was born November 28, 1930 in Georgetown to parents Charles and Lottie L (Spicer) Felgenhauer. She was united in marriage to Ralph L Boggess on January 19, 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers: Robert Dale, Delmar, James Harold, Wayne Merle, and Kenneth Gene; and daughter Debra Kay. She is survived by her husband Ralph, brothers: Delbert Lewis 'Bud' (Jan), William Don (Shirley), Ronald Keith (Mary); sister Geraldine Bridgewater; children: Cheryl Ann (Bruce) Deckard of Delray Beach, Florida, Paula Jo (Jerry) Holmes of Covington, Indiana, and Jeffrey Lee (Jenni) Boggess of Greenwood, Indiana; seven grandsons: Eric (Christina), Nathan, Justin, Nicolas, Jacob, Adam, Matthew, one granddaughter, Grace, and two great-granddaughters: Katelyn and Abigail. Eula was co-owner for several years at the Georgetown Tax Service, followed by the Treasurer's Office at the Vermilion County Courthouse for several years. She was a member and past president of the Women's Auxiliary at the American Legion post 203 in Georgetown. Eula loved to learn about our Lord Jesus and was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed reading, solving crossword puzzles, and scrabbling. Most of all, she loved to spend time with her family. A celebration of Eula's life will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, a Life Celebration Home. Officiating: Pastor Leon Korb. Burial: Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-7p.m. Monday July 19, 2010 at the funeral home.
