Eugene F. Randall Sr., 80, of Danville, Illinois passed away on July 6, 2010 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Eugene was born November 22, 1929 in Danville, Illinois son of Harold and Lucille (Wilson) Randall. He is survived by six children: Diana (Robert) Dicken and Cynthia Henry both of Danville, Illinois, and Virginia Randall, JoAnn Williamson, Eugene (Sheri) Randall Jr. and Charles Randall all of Florida; three brothers: Jerry Randall of Arizona, John Randall of Kansas, and Chuck (Millie) Randall of Kentucky; two sisters: JoAnn (Chuck) Fitzsimmons of Illinois and Pat (Rollin) Randolph of Arizona; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Gary, brothers: Tom, Bob, and Herb, and long time companion Margarette Yargus. Eugene was a graduate of Danville High School and had served in the U.S. National Guard and the U.S. Army for several years before starting his work career. He worked as a painter at the U of I, was a salesman for Westinghouse, and welded for Hyster, Drico INC., and Famaco until retiring in 1994. Eugene loved fishing, computer games, and his model trains. A Celebration of Eugenes Life will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, July 12, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery in Danville.
