Eugene E. Bryant

Eugene E. Bryant Jr., 78, of Oakwood, passed away January 21, 2013, at Vermilion Manor, Danville. He was born in Danville on February 18, 1934 to Eugene and Lucille (Harper) Bryant. A celebration of Eugene's life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 am at Sunset Funeral Home. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Oakwood, IL. Eugene married Clara C. Roose on August 28, 1949, in Covington, IN. He was a dockworker for Interstate Brands, retiring in 1989. Eugene loved to go camping and fishing with his family. Eugene is survived by one son, James (Kathy) Bryant of Danville; one daughter, Patricia Bryant of Danville; seven grandchildren, Ron (Brenda) Martin, Connie (Kevin High) Martin, Teresa (Jerry) Beckley, Donny (Maria) Bryant, Amanda (Wes) Martin, Michael (Kelly) Bryant and Christopher Bryant; 21 great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Bryant and one sister, Betty Weaver. He was preceded in death by his wife Clara; his parents, Eugene and Lucille; one son, Joseph Bryant; one daughter, Sharon Stevens; two great granddaughters, Charli and Ali Martin and four brothers. Memorial Contributions may be made in Eugene's name to Vermilion County Animal Shelter.
