Eugene Defebaugh

Eugene Defebaugh, 86, of Tilton, IL passed away on October 17, 2015 at the Waters of Covington. Eugene was born April 7, 1929 to Fay and Gertrude (Drews) Defebaugh. He married Vivian Butler and later Betty Hodge, both whom preceded him in death; later marrying Jackie Perkins, she survives. Eugene worked for Railroad Conrail and P&E Railway as a Telegrapher and Agent, retiring in 1987. He was General Chairman for the order of the Railroad Telegraphers for 16 years and past governor of Moose Lodge 1001. He enjoyed genealogy, history, crossword puzzles, gardening, bowling and time with family. Surviving Eugene are his sons; Mike (Sharon) Defebaugh, Allen Defebaugh, both of Danville; daughters, Linda Defebaugh, Mary Defebaugh-Techtow of Danville, DeAnna Howlett of Camarillo, CA, Cindy (Lee) Defebaugh-Robbins of Granite Falls, WA; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Eugene is preceded in death by his parents; two wives; brother, Robert Defebaugh; sister-in-law, Sandy Defebaugh and son-in-law, Dan Techtow. Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Wednesday October 21, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville.
