Ethel Reese

Ethel J. (Jumps) Reese, 90, of Tilton, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center. Ethel was born October 2, 1916, in Danville to Samuel and Jennie (Penman) Jumps. She married John N. Reese on September 5, 1936. He preceded her in death on December 7, 1972. Ethel was also preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two brothers. Survivors include one daughter, JoAnn (Jim) Birge, two sons Jack Reese and Tom (Deb) Reese all of Tilton, eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Ethel enjoyed playing bingo and spending many hours making quilts and especially enjoyed her family. She also volunteered many years at the strawberry patch at Vermilion Manor Nursing Home. Graveside services for Ethel will be held Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 10:00 am., at Greenwood Cemetery, with Pastor John Prather and grandson Andrew Musson officiating. A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from 5-8:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion St. Memorials may be made in Ethels name to the Alzheimers Association, or donors choice. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center are in charge of arrangements.
