Ethel 'Janey' Johnson

Ethel Janey Johnson, 56, of Danville, passed away at 9:16pm, Monday, October 13th, 2008, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born on July 22, 1952, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Lloyd and Viola (Brown) Alcorn. She married Walter Johnson on November 16, 1974, in Danville. He survives of Danville. Other survivors include: her mother, Viola Reffeitt; her sons, Wesley (Holly) Jones, James (Debbie) Jones, Anthony Brazeal, & Kenneth Johnson; her daughter, Elizabeth Jane; her six grandchildren; her sisters, Sharon (Gene) ODaffer, Katherine (Larry) Rodgers, & Melody (Buddy) Dixon; her step-brothers, Jack (Donna) Reffeitt & Bill (Helena) Reffeitt; and her step-sisters, Phyllis Rogers, Joan (Ed) Engle, & Mary (Fred) Strubar. She was preceded in death by: her father; her sister, Shirley; her brother, Floyd; her daughter, Christy; her son, Cliff; a step-brother; and a step-sister. Janey enjoyed gardening and crocheting. She was an avid NASCAR fan. She was known as a loving and giving person who loved spending her time with family, especially her grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, October 17, 2008, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Pastor James Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Kingman Fraternal Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the National Diabetes Association.
