Esther Pearl Larson, 87, of Danville, went home to be with Jesus, her husband Bob, her loving parents and siblings who preceded her in death. She passed away at 7:30 AM on May 20, 2016. Esther was born November 07, 1928, the daughter of Cord and Fern (Craigmile) Dolbee. Esther met the love of her life and married Robert (Bob) Larson on May 05, 1951 in Danville. Preceding her in death were her siblings Goldie (Jack) Musson, Raymond (Violet) Dolbee, Cleo (Ruth Dolbee, Harold (Alice) Dolbee, Beulah (Clifford) Lamb, twin brother Lester (Beverly) Dolbee, Reva Mae Dolbee and Melvin Dolbee. She is survived by her loving Sister Ruth (Max) Jones of Tilton. Also surviving are two daughters, Sandra (Don) Ritter and Janet (Richard) Clark both of Danville, four grandchildren, Brandi Pribble, Amy Perez, Kimberly Grider and Stefanie Verando; six great-grandchildren, Trenton, Camryn, Madison, Zach, Gabby, Alyissa, Ciarra, Jaxson and Emily; one great-great-grandson, Gabriel, along with several special nieces and nephews. Esther was a devout member of Hooton Church for many years. She grew up in Newtown, graduated from Oakwood High School and was very proud of the Senior Class poem she wrote for the 1946 Oakwood High School Year Book. She worked at the Danville Glove Factory and the Danville Courthouse. Esther and Bob enjoyed square dancing and she was an accomplished seamstress who made her own dresses. She liked riding her bike at Kickapoo and Kennekuk parks while Bob fished. Esther and Bob treasured their traveling time and frequently visited Florida. Her other hobbies included swimming, word search puzzles, reading the newspaper and family reunions. She loved animals and was especially fond of her cat and two dogs. Esther will be truly missed by all she came in contact with. A Celebration of Esther's life will be held at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 3940 N Vermilion St. in Danville on Wednesday May 25, 2016 at 11am, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will take place at Newtown Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Esther's name to the Vermilion County Humane Society and Alzheimer's Association.
