Esther M. Hallett

Esther M. Hallett, 98, of Danville, passed away at 11:05 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at Provena U.S.M.C. " Logan Campus in Danville. She was born February 9, 1907 in Tilton, Illinois, the daughter of Alvin and Mary Sophia (Buckellew) Hallett. Esther is survived by: one Sister-in-law- Ruth Hallett of Danville; 1 Niece- Mary Lu Wahl of Naples, FL; and several great-nieces and one great-nephew. Her parents, two Brothers- John and H. Everett Hallett and one Sister- Anona Hallett preceded her in death. She worked as a bookkeeper for F.W. Woolworth Co. from 1926-1969. She was a member of Catlin Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the Lydia Womens Circle. She was also a member of Central Park Church of Christ in Tilton. She enjoyed compiling family genealogy, working in her garden, flower arranging, sewing and crocheting.
