Esther Ellis

Esther N. Ellis, 86, of Danville, passed away at 8:30am on Sunday, February 18,2007 at the Hawthorne Inn. Esther was born May 1,1920 in Danville, Il. the daughter of Herbert and Edith Akers Ribbe. She married John Wendal Ellis on August 20,1940 in Danville, IL. He preceded her in 2004. Surviving are her sons; Terry and his wife Guity Ellis of Burbank, Ca. and their sons Dustin and his wife Mastoneh and Deren Ellis both of LA, Ca., Jack and his wife Linda of Westchester, Oh and their children David Ellis of Denver, Co., Eric Ellis and Angela Ellis both of Chicago, Il. and Steve Ellis of Lakeworth, Fl., and his children Jennifer Ellis of Orlando, Fl. and Andrew Ellis of Lakeworth, Fl.; one sister Dorothy Caldwell also several nieces and nephews. Esther had worked from home as a hairdresser and also at the Civic Newcomers Club welcoming new people to Danville. She really enjoyed working with people and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A celebration of Esthers life will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, February 21,2007 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Officiating Rev. John Prather.
