Ervin R. Poland

Ervin R. Poland, 88, of Danville, passed away at Hawthorne Inn of Danville on February 27, 2018. He was born January 15, 1930 in Chrisman, IL, the son of George and Minnie (Arnett) Poland. He is survived by two daughters, Polly (Mike) O'Grady of California and Robin Poland of Oregon; one grandson, one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers, of which one was his twin and one sister. Ervin served in the United States Navy during the Korean War as a radio operator on a ship. He graduated from DACC with his Associate's degree in Accounting and retired from Aqua Illinois as their accountant. A celebration of Ervin's life will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 11 AM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 North Vermilion Street, Danville, IL 61834 with Pastor James Blue officiating.
