Erva “Polly” Watson Erva “Polly” Watson,87, of Danville passed away at 2:26 pm Thursday January 30, 2014 at Hawthorn Inn in Danville. Polly was born May 25th, 1926 the daughter of Delmar and Anna Cleo (Max) Walker in Charleston IL.. She married John C. Watson on September 2, 1950 in Danville he preceded her in death. Surviving are two sons; John R.(Kim) Watson of Moore, South Carolina, and Jeffrey (Penny) Watson of Danville, four grandchildren; John Robert (Rachel) Watson, Matthew Dillon Watson, Ryne Watson and Cody Paul Watson, one sister; Breneda Snyder of South Bend Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and one sister. Polly attended Lake View School of Nursing, were she received her Registered Nursing Degree. She worked as a RN for thirty six years at the V.A. Medical Center retiring in 1985. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, playing cards, walking, swimming, reading, traveling, and her flower gardens. Polly also helped with Meals on Wheels, and was involved in Faith in Action. She was a member of Saint James United Methodist Church, Lake View Alumni, and Friends of the Library. A Celebration of Pollys Life will be held at 11:00am Monday February 3, 2014, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville IL. Officiating will be Reverend Randall Robinson. A visitation for Polly will be on Monday February 3, at the Funeral Home from 10:00am until 11:00am. Pollys family asks that memorials be made to American Cancer Society or Saint James United Methodist Church in her name.
