Ernie M. Harvey

Silverwood, Ind. - Ernie M. Harvey, 73, of Silverwood, passed away at 5:30 a.m. EST Thursday, January 28, 2016 Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born January 25, 1943 in Cayuga, Indiana, the son of the late Ethel Newell Harvey Hicks and Morris Harvey. Survivors include two daughters, Missy Harvey of Brazil, Indiana and Amy Gilman of Arkansas; seven grandchildren; two great grandsons; one sister, Bobbi Kennedy of Terre Haute, Indiana; three brothers, Stanley Harvey of Cayuga, Indiana; Aaron(Barbara)Harvey of Dana, Indiana and David(Linda)Harvey of Terre Haute, Indiana; his best friends, Denny Morgan of Perrysville, Indiana and Bill Williams of Danville, Illinois. Ernie was preceded in death by his sister, Dorcas Reitsma. Ernie formerly worked in the retail grocery business until his retirement. He was a 1961 graduate of Cayuga High School. Ernie enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing, bowling, NASCAR and watching his beloved St. Louis Cardinals. Graveside services: 1 p.m. EST Saturday, January 30, 2016 at Eugene Cemetery in Eugene, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor William Lehman. Family request contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
