Ernestine Tena Pasquale Dietz, 86, of Tilton, passed away at 6:20 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2008 at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home. Tena was born on June 19, 1921 in Sidney, Illinois, the daughter of Henry and Mattie Mam (Davidson) Fegett. Tena married Joseph Joe Pasquale in 1938 in Indiana. He preceded her in death in October of 1975. She later married Eugene Gene Harvey Dietz in 1962 at Russell, Kansas. He preceded her in death on February 28, 2002. She is survived by her five sons- Bob (Joyce) Pasquale of Danville, Roy Pasquale of Danville, Rick (Sheila) Pasquale of Cayuga, Indiana, Tim (Deann) Pasquale of Dixon, Tennessee and Jim (Barb) Dietz of Danville; four daughters- Pat (Kenny McQueen) Pasquale of Danville, Lottie Pasquale of Georgetown, Sandra Schackmann of Danville and Susie (Bob) Haton of Tilton; two sisters- Wilma Kilbury of Chrisman and Barbara Jean Fegett of Westville; 26 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one daughter- Shirley Diane Davis, two brothers- Winford Fegett and James Fegett, four sisters- Arlene Ray, Lillian Ervin, Lois Maxine Page, and Judy Stevens, one great-grandson- Josh Zigler, one granddaughter- Vickie Hall and one great-great granddaughter- Daishenell Pasquale. Tena attended a Lutheran Church in Kansas for several years. In the late 1950s she worked at Lakeview Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a homemaker most of her life. She loved to cook homemade candy and yeast biscuits for the kids and grandchildren. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She especially enjoyed lilac bushes. She enjoyed going to Whooligans in Tilton to eat and listen to music. She loved country music and enjoyed dancing. She played the guitar, banjo and the piano. In her younger years she enjoyed doing embroidery. A Celebration of the Life of Ernestine Tena Pasquale Dietz will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 " 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made to the family.
