Erma Robson

Danville - Erma D. Robson, 81, of Danville passed away at 3:15 PM on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Presence Covenant in Urbana. She was born on March 2, 1933 in Danville to John H. and Lula L. (Butts) Houser. She married Robert F. Robson on October 16, 1954 in Catlin. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1994. She is survived by two children, John (Betty) Robson of St. Joseph and Marilyn “Sue” Robson of Westville; three grandchildren, Beth (Don) Beckett, Bradley Spray, and Nancy Spray; three great-grandchildren, E.J. Beckett, Coleton Beckett, and Charley JoAnne Reynolds; and a special friend, Donna Lewis. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mildred and Betty; two infant sons; a grandson, Brian Robson; and good friend, Perry Wenger. Erma was a graduate of Westville High School and worked as a Journeywoman bookbinder at Interstate Printing. She then worked at First Illinois Credit Union, most recently as a loan officer. Erma was a member of Central Park Church of Christ, the Westville American Legion Auxiliary, and volunteered for Faith in Action South. She loved flowers and took pride in her home. Her life was her friends and family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was a Christian and loved her church. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Dialysis Unit on Clay Street in Danville for their care. A service to celebrate the life of Erma Robson will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Raymond Gordon will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Monday, January 19, also at Sunset in Danville.
