Erma L. Chiaramello

Erma L. Chiaramello, 84 of Danville passed this life on March 5 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana with her family at her side. Erma was born April 6, 1928 in Catlin, IL the oldest daughter of Herman and Zelma (Cook) White. She married the love of her life, Frank, on July 31, 1946 in Danville. Erma had worked for General Electric in Danville before leaving to raise their daughter Victoria (William) Barnes of Westville who survives. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Laurie (Steve) Rolinitis of Morton, and Troy Barnes of Danville. Four great grandchildren, Bryce, Tyler, and Kylie Rolinitis of Morton, and Sophia Barnes of Danville, a nephew George Chiaramello, Jr. of Westville, a niece Kathy Eiskamp, together with many other nieces and nephews all of whom will miss her greatly. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Frank, a grandson Michael Barnes, and her sister Janetta . Erma was an especially compassionate and loving person whose life revolved around her family. She was especially dedicated to her daughter, Vickie and granddaughter, Laurie who provided her care and support after Frank's passing. She had cared for Laurie during the illness of her grandson Mike who had required frequent hospitalization. Her great grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. She loved to watch vintage westerns, The Golden Girls and loved all animals especially cats. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 12 from 5 till 6:30 PM at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville. Private burial will be at Oakridge Cemetery in Catlin with Pastor Anita Livengood officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be in the form of donations in her name to Riley Children's Foundation, 30 S. Meridian, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
