Erika Hume

Erika A. Hume, 47, of Elgin, TX, formerly of Oakwood, passed away at 12:48 a.m., on Sunday, December 14 2008, at North Austin Medical Center in Austin, TX. Erika was born on February 23, 1961, in Cape Girardeau, MO, the daughter of James P. Brimm and Shirley A. (Fite) Brimm. She married Todd L. Hume on April 20, 1992 in Bastrop, TX. He survives. Other survivors include her mother, Shirley Brimm of Elgin, TX, two sons; Chad (Carolyn) Hume of Elgin, TX., and Ryan J. Hume of Elgin, TX; one daughter, Tabitha Lee-Ann Hume of Elgin, TX, one brother, Jeffrey J. (Margaret) Brimm of Woodland Park, CO; father-in-law, Terry L. (Christine) Hume of Oakwood, IL, mother-in-law; Sharon R. (Ron) Fermon of Oakwood, IL, and lifelong friend, Lisa Lancaster of Danville, IL. She was preceded in death by her father, James Brimm. Erika was a graduate of Oakwood High School and Danville Area Community College. She was a cashier at Don Stewart Petroleum Shell.
