Erick L. 'Chop' English

Erick L. "Chop" English, 64, of Westville, passed away at 7:19am, Wednesday, September 6, 2017, at his home. He was born on November 3, 1952, in Danville the son of Walter and Shirley {Haurez} English. He was united in marriage to Crystal Cox on June 6, 1987, in Danville, IL. After 31 years of marriage, Crystal has a lost a part of herself and will miss him beyond words. He will also be missed by: his sons, Justin (Kristen) English of Edmond, OK & Johnny (Jenna Brennan) English of Westville; his daughter, Ashley (Michael Acord) English of Westville; his grandchildren, Brooklynn, Addison, Avery, Audrey, Cash, & Annalynn; his sisters, Deborah (Larry) Wickens of Dana, IN, Sue (John Goodwin) English of Covington, IN, & Beth (Jim) Wheat of Aurora, IN. Erick retired from Sygma in Danville in 2012. He worked as a pool technician all his life and continued until his illness. He was a member of the Illiana Antique Auto Club and enjoyed classic cars, especially Corvettes. He liked camping, cooking, & going on Road Cruises. Above all else, Erick loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them. He will be remembered by all who loved him. A celebration of Erick's life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, September 10, 2017, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St, Westville, with Pastor Scott McCurdy officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 2:00pm Sunday prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Greenview Cemetery, Fairmount, IL.
