Erick Hayden

Erick Hayden, 48, of Covington passed away May 31, 2024, at OSF Hospital in Peoria, Illinois. He was born May 2, 1976, in Danville, Illinois to the late David Wayne Hayden Sr. and Deborah E. Hicks.

Erick was the proud owner of his own business, Ericks Custom Lawn Care. He loved all things outdoor related, especially hunting, fishing, shooting, and boating on the Wabash. He enjoyed music and playing the Guitar.

Erick leaves behind his mother, Deborah Hicks; his two sons, Erick James Hayden and Ayden Scott; Siblings, David W. Hayden Jr., James Wesley (Jonna) Hayden, Jessica Lynn (Gene) Lucas, and Joshua L. Pitts. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews; Alisha Ann Hamady, Zandrick Kadrian Varvel, and Hadleigh Nicole Jo. Pitts.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Wayne Hayden, Sr. as well as all of his grandparents.

A visitation will be held Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 2-6 pm at Sunset Funeral Homes Covington Chapel, located at 420 3rd Street in Covington, Indiana. With a service to follow at 6pm at the funeral home. Online condolences and fond memories can be shared with his family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com. The family of Erick requests that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to help with final expenses.
