Eric Todd Vandevender

Blanford, Ind. - Eric Todd Vandevender, 60, of Blanford and formerly of Cayuga, passed away at 7:55 a.m. EDT Saturday, April 16, 2022 at Clinton Gardens in Clinton, Indiana.

Eric was born on May 6, 1961 in Danville, Illinois the son of the late Floyd A. and Irma Jean (Weir) Vandevender.

Survivors include his son: Steven Vandevender of Terre Haute, Indiana; sister: Dawn Murdock of Danville, Illinois, along with several nieces and nephews.

Eric was preceded in death by his sister: Cheryl Murphy.

Eric worked as a Engineering Technician at Sony in Terre Haute, Indiana for several years later working at North American Lighting in Paris, Illinois before retiring.

Eric was the pastor at the Tree of Life Ministry in Terre Haute. He was a 1980 graduate of North Vermillion High School and a graduate of Ivy Tech in Terre Haute receiving two Associate Degree's. He enjoyed helping people and building miniature doll houses.

Per Eric's request cremation was accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 p.m. EDT Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Tree of Life Ministry 1219 South 12th Street, Terre Haute, Indiana 47802. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is assisting the family with arrangements.
