Eric Neil Van Vactor

Eric Neil Van Vactor passed away peacefully with family by his side on April 17, 2020 at 10:44 P.M. Eric graduated from Covington High School in 1982. He worked for his father, William, at Van Vactor Oil Company. Eric was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He was so kindhearted that he gave homes to his children's friends and a dear nephew, Nik. He could not let children be left out or behind. Eric is survived by; his wife of 37 years, Penny Denise Van Vactor, son Rhett Neil (CoCo) Van Vactor, daughter Audrey Louise Van Vactor, parents William and Norma Van Vactor, brother JC Van Vactor, grandchildren Devin Neil Pippin, Zara Rae Van Vactor, Dax Lane Van Vactor, Zevela Lyn Van Vactor, Jase William Neil Van Vactor, and Demi Marie Louise Van Vactor, nephew AJ Wilson and his wife Victoria. Eric is further survived by father and mother-in-law Don and Shirley Campbell, sisters-in-law Susan (Douglas) McDaniel, Brooke Chavez, Dawn (Paul) Rudolf, and Jodi Campbell, nieces and nephews Joshua, Kirstin, Rhyland, Gabriella, Olivia, Damon, Dexter, Spencer, and Kiefer, and special friends Scott and Lisa Schechter, Greg Chiafreddo, Eric and Lisa Osborn, Brad and LuAnn Dunham, Tim and Karen Powell, Ryan and Lois Bechtold, Jeff and Cindy Hayman. Eric was preceded in death by his sister Monica Lynn Van Vactor, grandparents James and Thelma Powell and Charles and Viola Roman, his sister-in-law Hellen Marie Louise Leak, and nephew Nikolas Scott Schechter.
