Emma R. Brandenburg

Emma Ruth Fetters Brandenburg, 78, of Danville, IL passed on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. She was born on August 16, 1940 the daughter of William M. and Ruth I. (Willard) Fetters. They precede her in death.

Also preceding her in death include her husband, Glenn Brandenburg of Hoopeston; three brothers, Gene Fetters of Danville, James Kenneth Fetters of Catlin, and Chuck Fetters of Charlotte, NC; and two sisters, Opal Carpenter of Danville and Margaret Bracewell of Danville.

Emma is survived by her son, Brad Vollstedt of La Jolla, CA; her beloved cat, Bella; and two brothers, Butch (Gale) Fetters of Muncie, IN and Howard (Sara) Fetters of Anderson, SC. Emma is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other close family members, and many many friends.

Emma enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was especially excited to know her son, Brad, was coming home for a visit and talked often about the good times they shared. She loved her Church and looked forward to worshiping with her church family each week. She will be remembered for her gentle smile, big heart and sweet personality.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Officiating will be William Carpenter, Nephew and Minister of Faith Church of Christ. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to Faith Church of Christ in Danville.
