Emma L. Haynes

Emma L. Haynes, 92, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022 at The Waters of Covington. She was born on December 27, 1929, the daughter of Sue (Hopkins) and Harold Mall in Wichita, KS. They precede her in death. Also preceding Emma in death include her husband, Jimmie Haynes; brother, John Mall; and sister, Leola Mills. Emma leaves behind her children, Paul (Julianne) Haynes, David Haynes, Richard (Leanne) Haynes, and Mary Haynes; grandchildren, Michael Haynes, Megan Haynes Asbell, Jordan Haynes, Taylor Haynes, and Lucas Haynes; great grandchildren, Samantha, Tristen, Emily, Callum, Lyla, Kierra, Ellie, Hazel, Harvey, and Winnie. Emma enjoyed her crafts, she loved sewing, crocheting, and cross stitching. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and you would often find her at home doing crafts and watching the races. She loved the Lord and was an active member of Ridgeview Baptist Church. Emma loved her family and especially loved seeing her grandkids. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Burial will be in Danville National Cemetery. Pastor Mims will be officiating. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
