Emma L. Greene, 76, of Danville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior early morning Saturday March 4th, 2017. Emma was born the daughter of John and Oillie Musser on June 14th, 1940 in Smyth county VA. Emma married the love of her life on September 28, 1957 in Germantown MD James Greene he was in the United States Army at Fort George G. Meade in Maryland WA. Together they had three sons. Surviving Emma is her husband James, one son James Jr., two brothers Charles and Roy, four sisters Sarah, Margie, Lucille and Betty. She was preceded in death by her two sons, Mark and Robert, her parents, one brother. Emma accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior in 1973. Emma was a member of Edgewood Baptist for 39 years then joined Faith Baptist Church. She was a great housewife and mother. Emma did work for two years as the assistant manager at The Main Doller Store. She then worked part time at Burklewitz Luggage for several years. She enjoyed working in the yard and helping others. A celebration of Emma's life will be held on Friday March 10th, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion in Danville at 11am. Officiating will be Pastor Allan Rudie. A visitation will be held from 10 - 11 am. at the funeral home. Burial to follow at Danville National Cemetery.
