Emil M. Lenart, 87, of Anderson, Indiana, formerly of Danville passed away at 11:40a.m., Sunday, April 22, 2007, at the Community Hospital in Anderson. He was born on March 14, 1920 in Fifield, Wisconsin, the son of Peter and Susie (Bakalar) Lenart, Sr. Emil married Joyce Laursen on November 6, 1943 in Racine, Wisconsin. Survivors include his wife Joyce of Anderson, one son, Thomas ( Kristi) Lenart of Cookeville, Tennessee, two daughters, Linda Miller of Pendleton, Indiana and Robin (Tom) Coveyou of Spring Valley, Ohio, one brother Maynard Lenart of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; six grandchildren, Tim Lenart, David Drake, Michelle Stiner, Joshua Koenig, Ben Koenig, and Chris Koenig, three great-grandchildren: Ally Marie Lenart, Karissa Stiner and Owen Matthew Koenig. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Peter Lenart, Jr. and sister Helen Jullierat. Emil was a United States Army Veteran serving with the Medical Corp in World War II. He worked at and retired from the Recording and Statistical Company in Danville. Emil was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville, serving as a past elder and financial secretary He was also a member of the American Legion Post 210, past member of the Golden K and most recently became a member of the Danville Bowlers Hall of Fame. Emil was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. A celebration of life for Emil M. Lenart will be held at 3:00p.m., Thursday April 26, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville with Pastor Daniel Fienen officiating. Entombment will be at Sunset Memorial Park.
