Elsie Myers

Elsie Myers, 63, of Newport, Indiana, passed away at 8:20pm, Friday, April 28, 2023, at West Central Community Hospital, Clinton, Indiana. She was born on November 15, 1959, the daughter of Cora Williams. She was united in marriage to Terry Myers on November 5, 1977. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by her children, Barbara Jo (John) Loveall of Newport, Terry Myers, Jr. of Newport, Amanda Myers of Terre Haute, & Tina (Mike) Swenson of Newport; her eight grandchildren; her 5 great grandchildren; her sisters, Artie (Gary) White and Vickie (Bob) Hargrave; her two stepsisters, Abby and Allison; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Cora McCarty; stepfather, Richard McCarty; and her brother, Richard Crowder. Elsie loved taking care of her home and having beautiful flowers. She also enjoyed watching the birds in her yard. She loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. She will be dearly remembered by all whose lives she touched. As per her wishes, Elsie will be accorded cremation rites and her arrangements were entrusted to Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, DeVerter Chapel, 215 N. Division Street, Cayuga, IN 47928.
