Elsie M. Wright

Elsie M. Wright, 87, of Fairmount, passed away at 8:25am, Sunday, August 31, 2014, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. On March 25, 1927, she was born the daughter of Bill and Tressie Hughes. She was married to Frank E. Wright Sr in May of 1946, until his passing on July 31, 1986. Those who will miss her include: her son, Frank Butch (Carrie) Wright Jr of Georgetown; her daughters, Mary Ann Johnny Henderson of Homer & Pam (Mike) Holcome of Tilton; her 10 grandchildren; her 18 great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; four sisters; and two brothers. Elsie loved being outdoors whether it was rock hunting, berry picking, or gardening, or even tending flowers. She loved to travel to the West. Her family was most important to her and she cherished spending time with them. She will be missed by those who knew and loved her. As per her wishes, Elsie will be cremated and there will be no services. Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, assisted her family with arrangements.
