Elsie Hite

Elsie Hite, 101, of Wooster, OH, formerly of Oakwood, IL, passed this Life on Monday, February 8, 2010 at the West View Manor Nursing Home. She was born on February 1, 1909, in Oakwood, IL, the daughter of James P. and Nettie Nabors Altman. She married Nolan E. Hite on September 24, 1933. He preceded her in death on July 16, 2000. Elsie leaves behind 12 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends who all loved her. In addition to her husband, her parents, six sisters, and three brothers preceded Elsie in death. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Wooster, Ohio. Her passion was sharing life with Nolan, her husband of 67 years, and caring for all her siblings with her huge loving heart. A private family graveside for Elsie Hite will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Oakwood Cemetery, Oakwood, IL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nolan and Elsie Hite Scholarship Fund at Taylor University, Indiana, the United Methodist Church of Wooster, OH, the Wayne County Community Foundation, Salvation Army, and/or donors favorite charity.
