Elsia Katavich

Elsia G. Katavich, 83, of Georgetown passed away at 9:10 a.m. Sunday December 14, 2008 at Danville Care Center. She was born on October 29, 1925 in Georgetown, IL the daughter of Thomas O and Millie Mae Peace Morgan. She married Pete Katavich. He preceded her in death in January of 1991. Survivors include two sons, Larry Dean (Tina) Katavich of Akron, OH and Mike (Diane) Katavich of Braidwood, IL; one brother, Willard (Janet) Morgan of Georgetown; two sisters, Evalyn Farrel of Georgetown and Vera (Jim) Devore of Danville; nine grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; one daughter, Phyllis Pruden; three brothers; and one sister. Elsia enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and reading. A celebration of Elsias life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday December 17, 2008 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lithuanian Cemetery. Pastor James Blue will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
