Ellen Wicoff

Ellen LeSeure Wicoff, 77, of Danville passed away at 8:55am Monday May 9, 2005 at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center. She was born June 29, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of the late Raymond Eugene and Sadie Gertrude (Imlay) LeSeure. Ellen married Gerald D. Wicoff on November 13, 1948 at St. Lukes Catholic Church in Detroit. Survivors include her husband, one son; Raymond E. (Linda) Wicoff of Gilbert, Arizona, four daughters; Mary Margaret Wicoff of Danville, Lynn Ellen (Tom) Simmonds of Covington, Indiana, Theresa Marie (Roy) Harris of Orlando, Florida and Phyllis Anne Frazier of Apopka, Florida, three grandchildren; Angela M. (Mark) Bennett of Pekin, Eric L. (Amy) Wicoff of Chandler, Arizona and Michael S.Wicoff of Gilbert Arizona; and one great-grandson; Cody L. Pitman of Pekin. Ellen was a graduate of MacKinzie High School in Detroit and a 1948 graduate of St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Danville. She was 2nd Floor Nursing Supervisor at St. Elizabeths, retiring in 1985 with 30 years of service. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and St. Elizabeth Nurses Alumni Association. She was a money counter at the church, a volunteer for Provena USMC and Meals on Wheels. Ellen hobbies included her computer, playing cards, photography, and crocheting. She was truly an avid Chicago Cub fan. She especially was devoted to her family and enjoyed visiting with them.
