Ella Marie Schnorr

Ella Marie Schnorr, 97, of Danville, died at 1:15 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2006 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. Ella was born on February 26, 1909 in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Nathaniel W. and Bessie L. (Wolfe) Poynter. She married Abraham Leroy Schnorr in 1929 at Oakwood, Illinois. He preceded her in death in November of 1985. She is survived by her one brother- Gene (Alice) Poynter of Danville; two sisters- Dolores (Gail) Green of Fithian and Ardith (Richard) Goodwin of Rantoul; two sisters-in-law- Fern Hill of Danville and June Poynter Summers of Clermont, Florida; one brother-in-law- Wesley Null of Florida; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters- Ruth Dolbee Boecker, Alice Dolbee, Thelma Null, Della Mae Poynter; two brothers- Carroll Poynter and Derow Poynter. Ella was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God in Groveland, Florida. She enjoyed crocheting, growing flowers and being around and visiting with people. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Clermont, Florida at Oak Hill Cemetery. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
