Elizabeth M. Russell

Elizabeth M. Russell, 86, of Westville, passed away at 9:49pm, Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. On January 29, 1937, she was born in Winooski, Vermont, the daughter of Barney Henry and Rena {Pelky} Bessette. She was married to Lawrence D. Russell Sr until his passing. She is survived by her children, Lawrence Russell Jr of New York, Randy (Lori) Russell of Covington, Kelly (Jean) Russell of Olivet, IL, Dana (Lisa) Russell of Danville, and Jody (Ann) Russell of Vermont; her grandchildren, Dusty, Randy, Eric, Kelsey, Katelyn, Shannon, Scott Jr, Scotty, Samantha, Shane, Justin, Nicole, Tyler, Mindy, Chassity, Colby, Brenden, Hollie, Beau, many great grandchildren; her siblings, Julie Nunnick & Floyd Kilburn; and her special caregiver, Tiffany Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter, Heidi Russell; her son, Scott Russell; and her sister, Joyce Hojohn. Elizabeth loved making a home for her family. She enjoyed spending time with them and cherished her grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, and adoring her two "taco bell" dogs. She also enjoyed watching Westerns, especially if her favorite actor, John Wayne, was in them, as well as anything on the Hallmark channel. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
