Elizabeth 'Jeanie' Barrett

Elizabeth Jean Barrett, 81, of Danville, passed away on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at 12:25 p.m., at her residence. Jeanie was born in Danville, IL on May 14, 1926, the daughter of Dale and Goldie (DeVore) Blue. Jeanie is survived by one son, Jack Barrett of Tilton, IL; one daughter, Rita (Noel) Hamilton of Leesburg, OH; one sister, Kathryn Roark of Westville, IL; four grandchildren, Michelle Montgomery of Villa Grove, IL, Amanda Ziemniskey of Homer, IL, Matthew Barrett of Henning, IL, and Mark Barrett of Hegeler, IL; three great-grandchildren, Brittany Barrett, Christian Ziemniskey and Isaac Montgomery; her two cats, Poncho and Snowflake; and many special friends. Jeanie loved drawing, playing bingo, taking care of her yard and playing bunko. She truly enjoyed spending time spoiling her cats, who she so dearly loved. Jeanie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother. A celebration of Jeanies life will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. Phil Miller will be officiating. .Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Georgetown Cemetery.
