Elizabeth Hanson

N. ELIZABETH HANSON DANVILLE; Elizabeth Hanson, 89, of Danville, passed away at 9:40 P.M. on Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. She was born June 10, 1914 in Brazil, Indiana, the daughter of Frank E. and Florence Cook Williams. She married Harold Winn Hanson on July 3, 1941 in Danville. He preceded her in death in November of 1995. Survivors include 1 daughter, Darla (Thomas) Hageman of Huntley, Illinois; 1 sister, Margaret (Thomas) Morris of Danville; 3 grandchildren, Laura (Mike) Buckley of Peoria, Jeff (Sue) Hageman of Lindenhurst; and Heather (Todd Fivecoate) Hanson of Kokomo, Indiana; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 daughter-in-law, Debby Hanson of Kokoma, Indiana; and 1 sister-in-law, Etna Williams of Danville. Her parents, 1 son Frank, and 1 brother, Estel, preceded her in death. Elizabeth was a graduate of Danville High School and Eastern Illinois University. She was a teacher for many years at Oaklawn and Roselawn schools, retiring in 1974. She was also very active in the Retired Teachers Association. Elizabeth was a member of the Central Christian Church, and was very active in the church co-ed class. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, traveling, her home and her family.
