Elizabeth “Betty” Elliot (Howie) Decker, 65 of Westville, formally of Potomac, went to be with the Lord at 11:07a.m. Wednesday (July 24th, 2013), at home, surrounded by loving family. She was born June 14, 1948, in Attica, IN, the daughter of Thomas and Olga Elliott, and raised by her paternal grandmother Eva McFadden. She married Larry Decker on November 22, 2003. He survives, also surviving are one sister, Kathy Perry. One brother, Jim Elliott; and her children Glenn Howie (Karen), Tony Howie (Linda), Edie Cook(Dave), Doug Howie(Renee), Les Howie(Becky), Dwayne Howie, Tom Howie, Jerry Hickman, Linda Rakes(Tony), Robin Walsh(Bill) and Michael Howie(Linda), as well as several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and special cousin, Richard Bolland. Special mention of Lourie Decker, Rob Caudill, and Larry Decker III. She was preceded in death by Earl Howie, one brother George (Nubby) Elliott, and a son, Ronald Gene Howie. Betty was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church in Danville. She was an avid gardener and was a generous and gentle soul. She enjoyed animals especially birds, and loved her family and friends. Private services were Held Friday July 26th at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville with burial at Johnson Cemetery, Danville, IL.
