Elizabeth 'Beth' Prather

Elizabeth "Beth" Ann Prather, 64, of Danville passed away May 5, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born July 3, 1956 in Hammond, Indiana to Patricia and Robert Meek. They preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her brothers Randall Hooker and Kevin Meek. She is survived by her husband John Prather, daughters Danica (Rogelio) Fatima Villanueva and Shaista (Adill Rasheed) Kiron Adil, son Muhammad Shafique Mustafa, grandchildren Alicia, Ayan, Emaan, Zoya, Azaan, and Aaliyah. She is also survived by her stepmother Joy Meek and her sister Margaret Ghafoor. Beth was a very honest and loving person above all. She loved being a grandmother and sharing her love with her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, baking, and working on word-searches. In her spare time, Beth loved to go to garage sales and explore the countryside. She always put God first in her life and taught her children to always be kind to others, just as Beth was always selfless in her own life. Beth lived in Pakistan for some time and was loved by everybody who knew her over there. Upon returning to the United States, she worked at Walgreens Help Center before her retirement. A visitation will be held in her honor on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 am at First Baptist Church, located at 1211 N Vermilion Street in Danville. A funeral service will follow on Thursday at the church at 11:00 am. Pastor Phil Neumann will be officiating. She will be laid to rest in Hutsonville Township Cemetery close to her mother and grandparents. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center assisted her family with arrangements.
