Elisabeth Specogni

Elisabeth K. Specogni, 83, of Westville passed away at 6:44 a.m. Wednesday August 9, 2006 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. She was born on April 10, 1923 in Bamberg, Germany the daughter of Josef and Anna Margareta (Sollner) Strohmenger. She married Joseph A. Specogni in Germany. He preceded her in death in August of 1964. Survivors include: one son, Joseph Specogni of Coulterville, IL; a step-daughter, JoAnn Specogni Glancy of N.C.; two sisters, both of Germany; three grandchildren, James Specogni of Sparta, IL, Joseph A. Specogni of Coulterville, IL, and Meagan Specogni of Coulterville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents. Elisabeth worked as an LPN at St. Elizabeth for many years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the SPCA (Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals). She enjoyed knitting. A celebration of Elisabeths life will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday August 13, 2006 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel. 414 S. State St. Westville, IL. Pastor Daniel Fienan will be officiating. Visitation will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday August 12, 2006 at the funeral home. As per her wishes, she will be cremated. Memorials can be given to the Human Society.
