Eleanor Walczak

Danville- Eleanor Walczak, 90, of Danville passed away with her family at her side at 9:45 AM on Saturday, October 23, 2010. She was born in Chicago on May 20, 1920. She married Ben J. Walczak on June 29, 1940. He preceded her in death on April 18, 1978. She is survived by three daughters, Twins Arlene (Robert) Grubb of Covington, IN and Christine (Joseph) Scott of Danville and Roberta (Late Dennis) Selsor of East Lynn, IL. Six grandchildren Michael (Kathy) Scott, Kathy, David Scott, Karen (Danny) Cortapassi, Dennis (Christina) Selsor, Jr., Julie Selsor. Five great-grandchildren, Kelly and Tony Scott, Tyler Selsor, Jacob and Halie Selsor. Step-grandchildren Adam Perzee, Abbi and Lexi Cortapassi. Sister-in-law Mrs. Virginia Szarzynski. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Raymond Szarzynski, and son-in-law Dennis Selsor, Sr. Eleanor enjoyed listening to polka music, her computer and word search. She especially enjoyed visits from her Chicago Family. She was a wonderful cook and did so until she was called home. Funeral Mass for Eleanor Walczak will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at St. Paul Catholic Church. Father Greg Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville. Visitation will be held from 10-11:30 AM prior to the services on Tuesday at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville.
