Eleanor Fern Mcmasters

Danville, Ill. -- Eleanor Fern McMasters, 97, formerly of Danville and rural Kingman, Indiana (Silver Island Community) passed away at 1:44 a.m. EST Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at The Waters of Covington in Covington, Indiana. She was born October 6, 1913 in rural Kingman, Indiana (Silver Island Community), the daughter of the late Louis N. and Nora E. Randolph Samuels. She married Doyne A. McMasters on April 18, 1942 in Veedersburg, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 5, 1990. Survivors include: one sister, Berniece S. Foster of Cayuga, Indiana; four great nieces and two great nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Gertrude Samuels and two nephews, Merrill B. Foster and Myron S. Foster. Eleanor was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Selma, Alabama. Eleanor was a 1931 graduate of Cayuga High School. Funeral services: 11 a.m. EST Friday, December 31, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Dr. Andy Spencer; Burial: Silver Island Cemetery in rural Kingman, Indiana; Visitation: One hour prior to services on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the funeral home.
