Eldon 'Donny' Barber

Urbana - Eldon Lee "Donny" Barber, 34, of Urbana passed away at 5:12 PM on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital. He was born on August 26, 1981 in Champaign to Leon E. and Kathy R. (McNamer) Barber. They survive. Also surviving are his two children, Brice Eugene Leon Barber and Anne Margarita Perez; siblings, Carrie Myers of Urbana and Thale (Rebecca) Barber of Urbana; two grandmothers, Grace McNamer of Urbana and Marjorie Barber of Irvine, CA; 3 nieces, 3 nephews, 1 great-nephew, and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Donald McNamer and Hubert Barber. Donny was a graduate of Urbana High School and worked in Maintenance for McKinley apartments. He was an avid Star Wars fan and enjoyed Chicago Cubs baseball. More than anything, Donny was a loving and dedicated father. A graveside service to celebrate the life of Donny Barber will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Grandview Memorial Gardens. Pastor Michael McNamer will officiate. Sunset's Champaign-Urbana Chapel is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to any Carle Charity with thanks to the CV CCU.
