Kingman, Ind. -- Tamera(Tammy)Elaine Woolwine Remington, 38, of Kingman, Indiana, passed away Thursday, September 24, 2009 with her dog Ruby by her side, as a result of a fire at her home. She was born September 16, 1971 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of Marilyn DeMotte and David Woolwine. She married Rick Remington on September 21, 2002 in St. Augustine, Florida. She left behind her husband, Richard(Rick)Remington; one step daughter, Amber Remington of Greenville, North Carolina; mother and step father, Marilyn(Walter)Nixon of Kingman, Indiana; father and step mother, David(Penny)Woolwine of Kingman, Indiana; four sisters, Robin(Rex)Whittington of Kingman, Indiana; Rose(Rick)DuBois of Goodyear, Arizona; Becky(Brian Martin)Nixon of Covington, Indiana and Roxanne(Chad Woodrow)Nixon of Kingman, Indiana; three brothers, Rusty Nixon of Perrysville, Indiana; Robby(Tasha Niccum)Woolwine of Newport, Indiana and Royce(Leslie)Nixon of Perrysville, Indiana; and much loved nieces and nephews; Shawn, Tiffany, Lyndsey, Ashley, Alyssa, Trenton, Kailey, Tylin, Hunter, Kole,Lane, Ella, Lynsie, Kaden and Coy. We rejoice in knowing that Tammy is now in heaven with her Granny and Grampy Woolwine; Grandma Grace DeMotte; and brother, Rodney Nixon. Tammy was a member of the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary Rainbow Unit 263. She enjoyed spending time on the river, family vacations in Canada, riding with her husband, Rick and her dad on their Harleys and watching the Indianapolis Colts. Above all, she loved spending time with Trenty, Strawberry, Lane Bob, Ella Bella and Coy Boy. She also had two very close friends, Blackie Myers and Janette Strubinger who shared her life's triumphs and tragedies. Funeral services: 11 a.m. EDT Friday, October 16, 2009 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Tim Russell; Private graveside services: Silver Island Cemetery in rural Kingman, Indiana; Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. EDT Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the funeral home with memorial services at 7 p.m. EDT by the Cayuga American Legion Auxiliary.
