Elaine Stiarwalt

Elaine Stiarwalt, 72, of Mahomet, Illinois passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, Illinois. Born November 11, 1948 in Canton, Illinois, Elaine is survived by her sisters Joan Stiarwalt Streibel, Patricia Stiarwalt Vollmar and Kathleen Stiarwalt, niece Julie Vollmar (Rodney) Murk and nephew Keith Vollmar and three grandnephews and one grandniece. Preceded in death are her parents, Catherine Effland Stiarwalt and Gerald Stiarwalt and her brother David Vern Stiarwalt.

Elaine graduated Spoon River Valley School, received a nursing diploma from Galesburg Cottage Hospital, School of Nursing, Galesburg, Illinois, a Bachelor of Science Degree Nurse Anesthesia, Sangamon State University, Springfield, Illinois, and continued studies included AANA Certification, Advanced Nurse Practitioner certification and AHA certification in Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

Elaine retired from nursing in Seattle, Washington, living in the Seattle area until she joined her sister, Joan, two years ago.

A Graveside memorial service will be held September 11th at 11:00 AM, East Midway Cemetery, London Mills, Illinois and a luncheon for family and friends will follow.
