Elaine R Williams

Elaine R. Williams, 87, of Georgetown, formerly of Westville and Danville, passed away at Newman Rehabilitation and Health Care Center on March 23, 2014, at 11:15pm. Elaine was born on September 9, 1926, to Glenn and Virgest {Disbennet} Henderson in Elwood, IN. On January 3, 1945, she married Carl Williams in Elwood, IN. He preceded her in death on February 12, 1998. Also preceding her were her parents, one son (Ronald), 3 brothers, one sister, and two step-brothers. Elaine enjoyed baking, flowers, crossword puzzles, & family. She is survived by: her two daughters, Barbara (Bob) Pearman of Georgetown and Maria (Bernard) Hooker of Paris; one sister, Neva Goforth of Elwood, IN; a daughter-in-law, Ruby Williams of Kingston, MO; her sister-in-law, Myrna Henderson of Pierceton, IN; several grandchildren & great grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews. A celebration of Elaines life will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Pastor Greg Townsley officiating. Visitation will be held two hours prior to service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in her name to American Diabetes Association or Alzheimers Association.
