Elaine Marshall

Tangier, Ind. - Elaine Marshall, 88, of Tangier, passed away at 7 P.M. CDT Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. She was born June 25, 1923 in Clinton, Indiana, the daughter of the late James Abraham and Grace Bell Eslinger Haga. She married Park Lee Marshall on October 25, 1941 in Veedersburg, Indiana. He preceded her in death on January 13, 1999. Survivors include one daughter, Betty(Tom)Blanton of Danville, Illinois; one son, Bob Marshall of Tangier, Indiana; three grandchildren, Greg and Brian Blanton of Danville, Illinolis and Michael Marshall of Veedersburg, Indiana; two great grandchildren; three sisters, Erma(Cork)Jordan of Georgetown, Illinois; Martha Willis of Spring Hill, Florida and Mary(Chuck)Reardon of Villa Grove, Illinois; one brother, Jerry Dean(Jan)Haga of Mattoon, Illinois. She was preceded in death by one sister and two brothers. Elaine formerly worked at Eureka Printing in Danville, Illinois. She was currently a housekeeper in the area. Elaine was a member of the Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi, Indiana. She was a past member of the Vermilion County (Illinois) Quilt Guild. She enjoyed raising flowers, quilting and collecting dolls and glass baskets. Funeral services: Noon EDT Monday, April 2, 2012 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. William Lehman, Rev. Helen Thomas and Evangelist Jack Marshall; Burial: Miller Cemetery, Lodi, Indiana; Visitation: 10 a.m. EDT Monday, April 2, 2012 until time of services at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity.
