Elaine A. Bantz

Elaine A. Bantz (Deighton), 82, of Fithian, IL passed away at 7:00 PM Monday, March 19, 2012 at St. Alexian Brothers Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL. Elaine was born August 17, 1929, the fifth child of nine, to Clara and Leslie Deighton of Roselle, Kansas. She married David L. Bantz on June 1, 1947, and they began their life together on the Bantz family farm in Fithian, IL. She is survived by three daughters, Angela (Ronald) Rahn of Marengo, IL, Cathy (Raymond) Bogaert of Palatine, IL, and Jean (Troy) Rodman of Wheaton, IL; seven grandchildren, Nathan (Rimi) Bantz of Sasebo, Japan, Natalee Bantz of Danville, William and Christopher Rahn of Marengo, Sarah and Michael Bogaert of Palatine, and Lauren Rodman of Wheaton; three great-grandchildren, Saine, Saina, Saiya Bantz of Sasebo, Japan. Elaine is preceded in death by her loving husband David and son Dan Bantz of Danville, IL. Elaine loved spending time with her family and friends, being involved with many activities at Muncie Baptist Church as a Sunday school teacher. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, cooking and playing cards. After moving to Danville in 1987, she worked at Danville Area Community College in administration and later in sales at Adams Memorial. Elaine resided in Schaumburg, IL since 1999. A Celebration of Elaine's life will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11:00 am at Muncie Baptist Church in Muncie, IL with Reverend Dave Garver officiating. A visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service from 10:00am-11:00am. Burial will take place at Stearns Cemetery in Fithian, IL and a luncheon will be held following the services at the church. Memorials can be made in Elaine's name to The Muncie Baptist Church, P.O.
